To the A2A Community,
The Current Comanche 250 in MSFS 2024
We were granted access to the MSFS 2024 dev alpha last month, and based on the testing we’ve done so far, the existing version of the Comanche works well in the new simulator. There may be a few issues that do need addressing, but core Accu-Sim features like the external aerodynamics engine are playing nicely with the new sim. In other words, we hope you’ll be able to enjoy your Comanche in MSFS 2024 on day one, or very soon after.
Once we have access to the final build of MSFS 2024, we should be able to fully assess any remaining issues, and if all looks good, we’ll post some details on how to transfer your Comanche files and aircraft state to the new sim.
Updating the Comanche to the MSFS 2024 SDK
MSFS 2024 adds a set of new features, but also new requirements for aircraft developers. That means it's not a trivial task to update the aircraft to the new SDK. We're still evaluating how much work would be needed, and which new sim features we'd include if we did. No final decision has been made yet as to whether we’ll release a ‘native’ MSFS 2024 version of the Comanche.
But to reiterate, this only applies to an updated, native version of the product for MSFS 2024. Your current version of the Accu-Sim Comanche should work in the new sim just as it does in MSFS 2020, including our own walkaround system, custom flight model, and persistent aircraft and engine simulation.
Future Releases from A2A
Work on the Aerostar 600 is ongoing and it's shaping up to be a great aircraft in the sim. Unfortunately, though, the release date has slipped to 2025. We are sorry about that, but it’s partly because we now need to consider new requirements of the MSFS 2024 SDK, as mentioned above. Rest assured, developing aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator is still our top priority and we plan to release more Accu-Sim aircraft next year, not just the Aerostar.
Thank you for sticking by us in the meantime!

"It's supposed to be a PitA to fly IRL as well, so it's pretty well simulated"
Saludos
