Noticias del mod del mod de DCS AH1G CobraUPDATE FROM NOMAD
Hi @everyone — just a quick **dev update**:
We may have been working a little *too* hard lately, and at this point our changelog is getting… pretty long, while the TO-DO list keeps getting smaller and smaller.
But there’s one milestone we really wanted to share:
**The Flight Model is now COMPLETE and has been VALIDATED by our SMEs.**
This has been a major effort for me personally, made possible by a **colossal amount of work from our Cobra dev team**, which allowed me to focus almost exclusively on Flight Model development this year.
The Cobra flight-dynamics behavior isn’t prescribed by a few tuned values; it emerges from the interaction of the rotor, engine, airflow, and airframe.
It works out how the air loads different segments of the rotor blades, how those loads make the blades flap and flex, and how that motion changes the airflow in return. Change one part of that system, and you change the conditions seen by the others. The result depends on the aircraft’s current state, its recent motion, and how all of those interacting systems evolve together.
Getting all of those interactions right, from hover all the way to the edges of the flight envelope, has been a serious engineering challenge, involving a substantial amount of development, iteration, and validation.
And the Flight Model definitely hasn’t been the only thing moving forward. We’ve also been pushing a large number of improvements and additions across:
* Aircraft systems and avionics
* Weapons
* Flight Model Validation
…and a few more surprises we’ll be revealing over the next few days.
There’s honestly too much to squeeze into a single update without dropping a massive wall of changelog text on everyone.
So, for now:
**Flight Model complete. SME validated.**
We’ll start revealing the rest of the devlog over the next few days.
More info soon™
Best regards from all of us,
The Cobra Dev Team.
