"I'm currently working on a very large underlying change to better simulate the radio transmission pipeline. This unlocks two effects - an AM blocking tone, essentially an awful noise as AM is amplitude modulation, and as such two signals totally wreck each other producing a tone. Secondly an FM picketing / "picket fencing" effect. The second effect is in effect a stutter (imagine shining a torch through a picket fence, the shadow is one transmission, the light is another) - and the radio will rapidly jump back and forth between the transmissions.

To begin with the FM effect will ignore transmission power, but I may also add that in the future.

As this is a pretty huge change - I'd like to offer it to you Patreons first as a thank you for your support if you're interested in a sneak peak.

I'll likely be publishing something in the next few weeks - it could be as early as this afternoon (depends on bug squashing) but more likely later this month.

I've attached a video showing the two effects - the stutter you hear on the FM transmissions is actually correct! Be aware headphone users... RIP ears - turn it down before playing :)

The test version will likely have two known issues:

- No recording feature

- No Microphone passthrough

The client will also be backwards compatible - so no need to update servers (and it'll work on all existing servers) but the servers will need to enable "IRL Radio Rx Behaviour" for the effect to be applied. This setting has been on the SRS servers since 2017 but had no effect till now.

Outside of the new audio processing pipeline - I'm also hoping to rework the HAVEQUICK system to enable more aircraft that should be able to use it to use it, and adding an externally configured starting hop key.

Currently only the A10C and F5E have HAVEQUICK enabled.

No tengo forma de conectarme al SR. No he tocado nada. La versión es la 2.0.7.0. y se conecta el SERVER y el VOIP, pero la conexión GAME se queda sin conectar.

He reinstalado/actualizado SRS y sigue daándome fallo. ¿Algún alma caritativa que me ilumine en este trance?

Comprueba que en usuarios, en la carpeta Scripts, el archivo export.lua está y que dentro está la línea

Gracias Mirmi. Lo acabo de probar y tengo esa línea, pero sigue sin conectar al juego. Luego quedamos a ver si damos con el problema.

Tras borrar todo SRS y reinstalarlo, parece que funciona.

No hables muy alto. Funciona solo SR, pero en cuanto meto otros scripts, como Tacview u otro necesario en BWIV se fastidia.

Incluso si vas a reinstalar todo, incluido Tacview etc...Hacer una copia por si las moscas; borrar el archivo y que lo haga todo desde cero.

Its fully backwards compatible with the current SRS release (so you can play with others without this version).

This version has the completely re-written audio pipeline which enables the AM blocking tone on conflicting AM transmissions, on HAVEQUICK with more than 2 transmissions and on FM, the picketing effect.
